Chief Traffic Officer Capt (r) Sohail Chaudhry on Sunday said the latest technology in traffic signals was vital for the smooth traffic flow in the city. “It is the need of the hour to use the latest technology for traffic signals which could be operated manually by the traffic wardens for the smooth flow of traffic,” he said. The CTO said the city traffic police launched a number of projects, including a complaint cell, which would address the grievances of the people and take notice against the wardens who misbehave with the public.
Sohail urged the people not to violate traffic rules, park vehicles only at parking lots and cooperate with traffic wardens. He demanded the government to make a promotion board committee for the promotion of wardens.
