Training workshop for journalists from Monday

A five-day training workshop for journalists, being organized by the National Press Club (NPC) Islamabad, will start from Monday, January 7.
The workshop, which is aimed at improving the professional skills of journalists and highlighting their role and obligations in filing stories, especially those having national or international impact.
The moot, first of its kind, will provide budding and mid-career journalists to enhance their capacity to have a better insight of the issues bearing national as well as international importance.
There will be discussion on three major aspects; reaction of recipients of electronic and print media, psychological point of view and experts’ views.
Renowned personalities including Gallup Pakistan Chairman Dr Ijaz Shafi Gilani, Fatima Jinnah University Behavioural Sciences Department head Dr Farrah Qadri, senior journalist Rana Jawad, senior journalist and analyst Imtiaz Gul, senior journalist Mubarak Zeb and National Accountability Bureau Director General Brig (r) Mussadaq Abbasi are expected to interact with participants of the workshop.
Information and Broadcasting Minister Qamar Zaman Kaira was also invited to conclude the session on January 11 and to hand over certificates to all participants of the workshop.
Around 50 journalists from various news channels and newspapers will participate in the workshop.
