16, including six women arrested, weapons and hashish seized

Islamabad Police on Saturday arrested 16 alleged outlaws from various areas of the city, including six women, for their alleged involvement in immoral activities and recovered 1.550 kilograms of hashish, six pistols and wine from their possession, a police spokesman said on Saturday.
According to details, Sub-Inspector Ghulam Shabir and ASIs Ali Asghar and Iqbal Mehmud from Tarnol police station arrested Saqib Khan, Arsalan Iftikhar, and Ejaz Ali Khan for the possession of three 30-bore pistols and 450 grams of hashish
Shams Akbar of CIA, arrested Zakir for possessing 1.100 grams of hashish while Sub-Inspector Muhammad Iqbal from Industrial Area police Station arrested a bootlegger, Kamran Azam, for possessing two bottles of wine.
On a tip off, ASI Muhammad Ishaq from Sabzi Mandi police raided a house in sector I-10/2 and arrested Niaz Gul, Riaz, Gul Nisa, Shazia, Sehar, Saba, Asifa who were allegedly involved in immoral activities.
In another incident, Sub-Inspector Muhammad Azam from Margalla police station arrested Aleem Raza, Sumera from G-9 Markaz who were allegedly involved in immoral activities.
ASI Fiaz Akbar from Sabzi Mandi police arrested Muhammad Rafiq for possessing a 9 MM pistol and 50 rounds of ammunition while Sub-Inspector Muzaffar Hussain from Shehzad town police station arrested Ansar Mehmud for possessing a 30 bore pistol and seven rounds of ammunition.
Cases were registered against the people arrested and further investigations are underway.
Reviewing the overall performance of Islamabad police, IGP Islamabad Bani Amin Khan and SSP Islamabad directed all police officials to ensure effective policing measures in their respective jurisdictions.
