Thousands of the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) employees have not been paid their salaries and pensions.
According to sources, the employees of above grade 5 have not received their salaries of November and December. More than 1,600 fire brigade employees have not got their allowances for the last three months. Director Education Afaq Mirza told media that the teachers had also not received salaries because of non-availability of funds.
