Larkana District Officer (Secondary Education) Anwar Khokhar visited Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Naudero on Friday morning after media reports about the on-going dispute between the teachers and the principal.
After hearing both sides, Khokhar informed the striking teachers and other lower staff as well as GSTA leaders that he would send a detailed report against the principal of the school to education secretary in Karachi as he (DO) was not empowered to issue her transfer order.
He further told them that an inquiry would be initiated soon into the allegations of principal’s bad attitude with the junior and senior school teachers.
Khokhar asked the principal, who arrived in the school from Larkana when she was telephonically informed about the arrival of DO, that she would not come to this school any more till receiving her transfer notification which will be issued next week.
The teachers, clerks and other lower staff continued their protest and boycotted classes and held protest demonstration inside the school.
They chanted slogans against the principal demanding her immediate transfer from Naudero.
