Around 150 religious scholars from around the country backed the long march announced by Pakistan Awami Tehrik leader Tahirul Qadri. Clerics and spiritual heads of various shrines across the country including Pakpattan Sharif, Sakhi Sultan Bahu shrine, Manki Sharif and Uch Sharif, called on Qadri and announced support for his long march, scheduled to be held on January 14. Talking to the delegation, Qadri warned that elections without reforms will be an agenda to dismember the country.
