The Rawalpindi Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (RBISE) decided on Thursday to charge students an additional Rs 300 as admission form processing fee for Matric, FA and F.Sc. RBISE, along with 8 other educational boards of Punjab, decided to increase the admission form processing fee from Rs 200 to Rs 500. After announcing an exemption of fees to the children going to government schools¸ the Punjab government announced that an annual grant would be issued to fill the gap caused by this exemption of fees. “However since the last 3 years no grant has been given to the educational boards due to which they are facing financial difficulties. In order to cover these losses the boards have increased fees of private candidates,” said a source in the education department.
