Pakistan Awami Tehreek Chairman Dr Tahirul Qadri on Wednesday said he was ready to meet the president and prime minister for the formation of authoritative interim government, but they would have to come to Lahore for the purpose. Talking to reporters on Wednesday, he said some politicians were advising the Election Commission of Pakistan to bring electoral reforms, but this would not produce desired results.
Qadri said the Election Commission had no power to amend the law. “If a case of rigging is sent to the ECP, its refers it to the courts and the final decision takes five years to arrive,” Qadri added.
He said only negotiations could not prevent the long march, but the government must act upon the constitution completely to force him to rethink his decision.
“If the announcement of an interim government is made before the long march, the people would reject it,” he added.
Qadri called his visit to Karachi “successful”, in which his ties with the MQM had been strengthened.
He hoped he would soon get to the destination with MQM’s support.
Qadri again clarified that the deadline given to the government would expire on January 10, and the long march would start on January 14.

  1. Qadri who gives you the message to the president and pm? who said you about this revolution? you think we do not know? who gave you media coverage? ISI ..

  2. How in the world did this guy become so worried about Pakistan and the people of Pakistan??? where has he been??? A murderer and a Maulvi getting together and want whats best for Pakistan hehehehehe……..wah g wah, whats really sad is that there are thousands of people who are stupid enough to follow these guys, some things will never change and Pakistan will continue to go backwards.

  3. Canada and ISI are is not realizing that when Pakistan people would back fired this mullah missile to back to Toronto it would cause huge disturbance in their side.So its better to call him back with some honorable warning, other wise he would face more humiliation which is quite visible in electronic media.

  4. If you guys think that the condition of this country will improve through the present system of election…you are all living in fools paradise…Qadri or no Qadri…this country need change through " revolution "…nothing short of " revolution " will bring better life for the masses…as it is people are dying via un-natural means daily.( for no cause )..so if they die for a cause that may bring good life for others…will this sacrifice go in vain ?

    • You seem to talk alot, are you willing to sacrifice your life for this revolution or you are just going to sit there in your comfy home and just talk as always??? makes you no different then any other idiot out there along with these loud talking politicians.I do agree the country needs a change but not with more blood shed rather with demanding changes, voting, holding the government accountable, which means the system needs to change,no you will never rid the country of corruption, but you can have transparency in everything, every department, every step the government takes, then and only then Pakistan will move forward. It may be wishful thinking but everything always starts with an idea,a thought, like how Pakistan came into being.Thats all putting it simply.

  5. If nothing else, Qadri has got them that be in power on the run. And that can only be a good thing for Pakistan.

  6. Old wine in an old bottle. Qadri histrionics are a replica of MQM gimmiks. First the threat of divorce followed by a close hug in return for anything and everything.

  7. Javed Ch of express interviewed Qadri on 03 Jan. Javed Ch miserable failed and tried to put words in Qadri's mouth. Qadri was much more impressive and expressed his views candidly.

  8. Dialogue with President & PM on what basis? Qadri does not represent the public, he heads a religious organization and he should focus on that. Neither the President nor the PM should give him any time or lift.
