The Supreme Court has ordered Sindh and Balochistan governments to retrieve school buildings from influential grabbers and submit comprehensive reports in this regard. A three-member bench, headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Chaudhry, heard the proceedings of a suo motu case regarding a lack of schools. The SC ordered the provincial governments to ensure that school buildings should only be used for educational purposes. Earlier in its orders, the SC asked about ghost schools in all the provinces and measures taken so far in this regard. The SC ordered all provincial and federal governments to submit comprehensive reports and adjourned the hearing for three weeks.
