The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has increased the tariff of Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC). Sources in Nepra said the increase had been made on account of fuel adjustment charges as Rs 0.46 per unit of power will be charged for the month of October and an increase of Rs 0.20 per unit will be applied for November. However, lifeline consumers will be exempted from the rise in electricity prices. The rise in prices of electricity will be implemented after the decision of Islamabad High Court.
