Arrests, fires and a dead body

A robbery occurred on Tuesday in the house of a businessman where robbers took Rs 1 million in cash and other valuables and escaped from the scene. According to details, robbers broke into the home of Harris near Mochi Gate, looted one million in cash and other valuables. They managed to escape. In another report, Sattukatla and Shadbagh police raided and arrested three most wanted criminals named Khalid, Anjum Butt and Qasir. Reports said that the criminals were involved in many cases of robberies across the city. Baghbanpura police arrested a suspected female drug dealer along with her four accomplices and seized 200 litres of alcohol and weapons from their possession. The police file an FIR against the accused for further investigations. Station House Officer (SHO) Haider Hussian and his team arrested Ali Rizwan, Abdul Razaq and Shan from the Dobanpura area.
During the investigation, the criminals confessed to several robberies and street crimes in Lahore and Karachi.
The police also seized weapons, thousands of rupees in cash and other valuables from their possession.
Fires: Separately, a local tractor trolley manufacturing factory situated in Shohala Chowk in the area of Baghbanpura caught fire. Over 10 men were badly injured and shifted to the nearest hospital by Rescue 1122 team.
In another incident, a citizen’s house caught fire due to short-circuiting near Sadiq Park in Kotlakhpat area.
Rescue 1122 was summoned to the scene which managed to extinguish the fire after several hours of effort. Reports said that goods worth millions were burnt to ashes in the fire.
Death: The police recovered the dead body of a 50-year-old man from a sewerage drain in the area of Gujjarpura. The man was identified as Liaquat Ali, resident of Fateh Garh.
