The Balochistan Assembly on Monday elected Matiullah Agha of Jamiat-Ulema-e-Islam as its speaker after the ouster of Aslam Bhootani.
Matiullah Agha was elected unopposed speaker of Balochistan Assembly. None of the candidate filed nomination papers against him.
Later‚ in a special session of the Balochistan Assembly‚ Matiullah Agha took oath of the office of the Speaker.
The office of the speaker fell vacant after passage of No Confidence Move against former speaker Aslam Bhotani on 26th of this month.
