Pakistan People’s Party’s (PPP) Punjab Assembly Deputy Parliamentary Leader Shaukat Basra has urged the provincial government to focus on the health sector.
He said, “It is the responsibility of the Punjab government to monitor the system so the supply of low quality medicine could be checked in a timely manner.” He said fake medicines were a threat to human life.
He said the Punjab government should take serious measures to streamline the health sector. A number of people had lost their lives due to fake medicines and the Punjab chief minister should take action against elements involved in supplying spurious drugs in the market, he added. Basra asked the Punjab government to focus on good governance to provide relief to the masses.
