Rejecting any constitutional and political crisis in the province, Balochistan Governor Nawab Zulfiqar Ali Magsi on Saturday said a no-trust motion against the provincial assembly’s speaker could not be termed as a crisis.
Nawab Magsi said having differences is a part of the democratic process, hence, the no-trust motion against Balochistan Assembly Speaker Muhammad Aslam Bhootani could not be termed as a “crisis”.
While talking to journalists after the 5th convocation of Sardar Bahadur Khan Women University, Magsi said despite the fact that he had invited several provincial ministers to attend the convocation, none turned up.
Responding to a question, the governor said Higher Education Commission had reduced the funds of universities not only in Balochistan, but all over Pakistan.
“The issue has already been taken up and efforts are underway to resolve the matter,” he said.
Besides conferring degrees on more than 300 students, Magsi announced Rs 100, 000 for all 7 position holders,
Addressing the convocation, the governor said women comprised 51 per cent of our total population and without focusing on their education we can never become a developed nation.
