Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf on Saturday said next general elections would be conducted on time. Addressing a function of the Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry‚ the premier said the traders and industrialists of Karachi are role model and trend setters of the country.
He said that the business community‚ industrialists and other segments of the society should understand the matters of each other and seek others opinions before going to make any decisions.
“If we think in isolation and continue to complain‚ it would ultimately not be in favour of the country,” he said. “Instead of transferring responsibilities we all should play our roles in individual capacities in building the country.”
Raja expressed his happiness and satisfaction that the taxpayer number in Karachi was maximum than any other part of the country. He said, “We have to spread this trend in other parts of our country.”
He said, “The traders and industrialists of Karachi are role model and trend setters of the country and we are proud of our noble citizens.”
The prime minister said, “Within next few months we are moving towards a democratic transition by holding elections and it is the resolve of the government to set the best example to go for it in a peaceful manner.”
He said, “It is the duty of each of us whatever he does in profession to create a conducive atmosphere in our country and then hopefully we would excel in all the matters and we will march on the road of progress.”
He said the key to a peaceful and democratic and sovereign parliament and government was with the people. He said law and order situation would be resolved by bringing a democratic government.
He said the democratic process is flourishing naturally and globally in Pakistan and it would be a leap forward towards a peaceful and developed country within the next five years.
