Four policemen killed in Quetta targeted attack

Four police officials were gunned down on Saturday in the city. A police patrolling van was on duty in the Ghausabad area of Satellite Town when unidentified armed people opened fire on the vehicle and fled from the scene. Three patrolling officials succumbed to their injuries on the spot while the fourth one received fatal injuries. The bodies and the injured were shifted to the Civil Hospital. Later, the injured was shifted to the Combined Military Hospital, but he died. The deceased were identified as Assistant Sub-inspector Ajab Khan, constables Abdur Rehman, Abdul Jabbar and Ghulam Dastagir. Capital City Police Officer Major(r) Zubair Mahmood confirmed the killings and said police would continue to render sacrifices, adding that 30 police personnel had laid their lives in the last six months. He said that terrorists would be brought to book.
