Gohar Ayub and son join PML-N

Former National Assembly speaker Gohar Ayub Khan on Thursday rejoined the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N). The announcement was made in a meeting with PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif in Raiwind. The former speaker’s son Umar Ayub also joined the party along with several supporters. Talking to reporters, Gohar Ayub said that the PML-N was very popular in their area and they would try their utmost to gain success for PML-N from Hazara Division. He said further that he also held talks on the issue of Hazara province with the PML-N president and Nawaz had assured him of complete support for the formation of the province. Earlier, Nawaz said in the meeting with Gohar Ayub and Umar Ayub that there is unprecedented despair among the people about the future of the country due to policies of the government. He said people were joining the PML-N due to its people-friendly policies. The PML-N chief claimed that the party would clean sweep the forthcoming general elections in all provinces. He said the N-League was the only party which could rid the people of crises. Nawaz said timely elections were inevitable for the solidarity and existence of the country.

  1. With what face now Nawaz Sharif has accepted to these goons of General Musharaf? And where does his much talked about politics of principle stands? Nawaz Sharif, this has become obvious more than many a times, is a liar.
