Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Farooq Sattar on Thursday leveled allegations of bias against Secretary Election Commission of Pakistan Ishtiaq Ahmed Khan and demanded removal from his position.
Speaking to media representatives at the Allama Iqbal International Airport in Lahore, the federal minister said that the commission’s secretary wanted to alter the MQM’s mandate in Karachi.
Sattar demanded of the ECP to conduct an inquiry into what he called the bias on part of Khan and remove him from the position of the commission’s secretary.
The minister moreover said that the ideologies of the MQM and of Dr Tahirul Qadri were similar, adding that, both wanted to abolish the “outdated feudal system”.
He said Qadri and the MQM may form an alliance in the future due to their shared opposition to the feudal system, however, it was still to be discussed as to how and on what points would the two sides come together.
Sattar added that the MQM had filed a review petition over the issue of delimitation in Karachi, adding that, the party had requested the ECP to not go through with the delimitation until the court decided on the review plea.
The leader further said that all stakeholders would be taken into confidence over the formation of a caretaker set-up.
This haggard faced man thinks that he will dictate his conditions, Any official who does not comply with the views of this man or his party must be removed, No one is going to grab the mandate from MQM, The only thing the ECP or SCP want to do is to check on the illegal activities of MQM thugs during polling, This is what MQM does not like. The times have changed and this party should learn to live with rule of law not with rule of thugs,
MQM behaves in strange ways. They are part and parcel of the federal government and Sindh provincial government; yet at the same time they spare no opportunity to criticize the government (their own!), and now they say they have similar thinking to "Canadian citizen by choice" Tahirul Qadri. Then why are they sitting in the ministries and governor's house?

why should he be removed? he is a competent secretary and a csp officer . he has ability to speak the truth but MQM believe in the politics of BORI BAND LASH, killing, revenge / the mqm is just trying to save it leader by making such fools statements.
In these days it looks that someone(EC) is putting its feet on tails of mqm.hard times coming head for mqm and karachi people
