PPP can’t do nothing but accuse, says Nisar

National Assembly Opposition Leader Nisar Ali Khan on Wednesday said the politics of wheeling and dealing and horse-trading of President Asif Ali Zardari was nearing its logical end and the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leadership had nothing to say except level baseless allegations against its political opponents.
Nisar said the appointment of the new governor for Punjab was the result of a deal and was aimed at bolstering the tarnished image of the PPP in Punjab.
He added that the PML-N questioned the effectiveness of the new governor when his own party had disowned him. Furthermore, he said the PML-N would demand a change of all governors after the general elections.
Commenting on the expected long march of Dr Tahirul Qadri, Nisar said he did not see his role in Pakistan’s politics. Comparing Qadri to PTI chief Imran Khan, he said Qadri had tried his luck in politics several times but had only won one seat with the support of General Pervez Musharraf.
Nisar said while Qadri possessed the capacity to gather people for a rally from various places, he did not have any constituency to get their votes. He doubted Qadri’s ability to bring any serious change in the country after remaining absent from the political scene for five years.
Nisar said jumping on the Tahirul Qadri-bandwagon had been expected of PTI and Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), adding that the development exposed the real intention of the PTI and MQM leaderships.
The opposition leader added that after failing to bring a promised tsunami, Imran Khan wanted to enter power corridors with the help of Qadri.
He further said the MQM, Imran Khan and Tahirul Qadri, who had been at the forefront to support Pervez Musharraf, had again joined hands for achieving their vested interests.
