Interior Minister Rehman Malik on Wednesday said an inter-provincial meeting will be arranged next week to discuss the security situation in the country.
He said the meeting would also examine the strategy being pursued to combat incidents of terrorism.
The minister was addressing a meeting held here to review the law and order situation and issuance of arm licenses.
Rehman said that orders have been issued for issuance of arm licenses after bringing further improvement in rules and regulations and after taking legal opinion from the Ministry of Law and Justice.
He said that further improvement in security situation in the country was a priority of the government and in this regard all resources were being utilized to the fullest.
