The Faisal Mosque security equipment has not been installed due to negligence of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) administration. According to sources, despite the directives of the CDA Chairman Syed Tahir Shahbaz and member engineering Sanaullah Amaan, Rs 7 billion security equipment could not be installed in Faisal Mosque, the largest mosque of the country. It should be mentioned here that the contract for installing security apparatus in the mosque was awarded to a contractor in June 2012. The contractor imported the required machinery within two and half months and asked the CDA officials to receive it but he did not get a positive response from the officials concerned. Due to negligence of the CDA officials, the security equipment was still in the possession of the contractor.
