Cold wave across Pakistan


Cold wave is sweeping across Gilgit-Baltistan, Azad Kashmir, upper parts of Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa and Norther Punjab while Astor and other areas of GB received snowfall on Thursday cutting off the roads to the major cities.
Isolated rain with snowfall over the hills is likely in Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Kohat, Sargodha, Islamabad/Rawalpindi, Quetta, Zhob divisions and Kashmir/Gilgit-Baltistan during the next 24 hours.
According to Pakistan Metrological Department, foggy conditions are likely to subside in plain areas of Punjab and Sukkur division.
Lowest temperature recorded in Skardu was -10°C, Parachinar -09°C, Astore -08°C, Hunza & Gupis -05°C, Kalam -04°C, Dir -03°C, Chitral and Drosh & Gilgit -02°C.
