Two brothers on Tuesday killed their sister and her husband in Manga Mandi’s Tiba Samal area after they tied the knot of their free will in. Per details, Ambreen’s family was nursing a grudge against her after she eloped with Ashraf nine months ago. After tying the knot, the couple came back to their native town and started living in a rented house. On Tuesday, Ambreen’s brothers Ashraf and Asghar barged into her house, opened fire on the couple and fled. Abbas, deceased Ashraf’s brother, told Pakistan Today that his brother was a factory worker and happily married.
He said his brother received threatening calls several times, adding that Ambreen assured Ashraf that her brothers would not harm them. Abbas said Ashraf told him that Ambreen’s brothers had threatened him to divorce her and he wanted leave the city as soon as possible. Abbass added that his brother and sister-in-law were preparing to leave the area but Ambreen’s brothers killed them. “I have registered a case against Ambreen’s brothers. I request the government to arrest the brothers and hang them.”
