Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif said the metro bus project was one of the best projects in the history of transport, and will bring a prominent improvement in the problems.
“Metro bus service is such an historical achievement of Punjab government of PML-N due to which comfortable, safe, rapid and economical travelling facilities would be available to the people,” he added.
Talking to the people on launching the metro bus service on trial basis, Shahbaz said metro buses were plied on trial basis today and these buses would be provided on a regular basis within the next few days.
The chief minister himself drove a bus along the route reserved for the bus project.
Members of national and provincial assembly, Lahore Transport Company Chairman Khawaja Ahmed Hassan, advisors to CM, information secretary, LDA DG, city traffic officer and representatives of Turkish and Chinese companies were also on board in the bus.

Yes, it is a great effort and Public welfare project. Those who live abroad have noticed the benefits of such projects, particularly of Roads, Transportation and infrastructure. Weither some one like or dislike Shabaz Sharif, they must appreciate such projects and development of country
Khaadim-e-Aala Sahib. We don't trust you behind the wheel of government. We don't trust you behind the wheel of a bus. we would however, like to throw you under one.
Think for national intrest and support such project. Do not see who is doing.

Stupid comments by u. Shahbaz is wasting money just like Sharifs wasted money on motorway by claiming there wud be factories around motorway. But not a single factory in last 20 yrs. Metrobus has been built without planning and ignoring passenger traffic trends in Lahore city which is usually frm East to West.

Its no doubt about it a revolutionized step take cm. Allah bless on him. may be those people who have cars or other luxury means not happy with such projects. but peoples like me who travel on daily basis through rickshaw and local transport must appreciated this.
