Special students of the Punjab University on Sunday demanded Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif provide them laptops as well. Praising Shahbaz’s decision to distribute laptops among outstanding students, the special students appealed to the chief minister that the small number of special students needed his special attention too. Muhammad Usman Attari, a blind student of Special Education Department, said blind people around the world were contributing towards national development and some were even playing a vital role in space science.
Muhammad Saleem, also a special student, said blind students of Pakistan could compete with others in the developed countries, provided they were given the same working environment.
Sonia Amjad said special students were studying in various departments of Punjab University and Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran was extending all possible assistance and cooperation to make studies easier for them.
They hoped the chief minister would consider their demands and issue orders in this regard.
