PPP will score a majority in 2013 elections: Wassan

Sindh Minister for Mines and Minerals, Manzoor Hussain Wassan on Monday said that with a functional free and fair election commission, Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) would emerge as a victorious party in 2013 general elections by securing a majority.
Wassan underscored that mammoth public rallies were not a reliable indicator of the number of seats any political party would score in the elections. He said that those propagating themselves as political ginats after orchestrating huge public gatherings were political illiterates. He said that in the forthcoming general elections the precise positions of the parties would come to the fore. He said that in the past `hidden hands’ had attempted to snatch victory from the PPP in the polls. He added, “however, now it would not be possible as there is an independent Election Commission and free, fair and transparent general elections would be held. He said any attmept to fudge the polls would be frustrated by the masses. The Minister concluded that PPP Chairman, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, under the guidance of President Asif Ali Zardari, would carry forward the mission and vision of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto.
