Punjab governor designate Makhdoom Ahmad Mehmood on Wednesday met Senator Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and Deputy Prime Minister Pervez Elahi at their residence.
Speaking on the occasion, Makhdoom Ahmad said that his father, late Makhdoom Hassan Mehmood, had held late Chaudhry Zahoor Elhai in great regard.
He also expressed his respect for Shujaat Hussain and Pervez Elahi.
He further said that he would try to fulfil his duties with utmost responsibility.
His hosts congratulated Makhdoom Ahmad on his appointment as governor of Punjab.
