Kp and Fata journalists visit Lahore Press Club

A 15-member representative delegation of office-bearers from press clubs of 12 districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) today visited the Lahore Press Club (LPC). LPC President Arshad Ansari received the delegation and gave detailed briefing regarding working of the press club. Arshad expressed sorrow and grief over the martyrdom of eight persons including senior KPK minister Bashir Ahmed Bilour in Peshawar bomb blast and offered Fateha for the departed souls. He said that exchange of journalists’ delegations would not only promote mutual contracts between the journalists but would also create awareness about the new developments in journalistic trends. He said that in this modern age, the world had become a global village which had increased the responsibilities of the journalist community. Head of the KPK delegation, Asad Jan said that exchange of the delegations would result in increasing national solidarity and harmony among the provinces and improving working relationship. He said that during the visit to LPC, they had been made aware about a number of new things. Later, the delegation visited Lahore Museum and also witnessed the flag lowering ceremony at Wahga Border.
