Desperate attempt for extention

In a desperate bid to extend his service period, an FIA additional director has tempered with his date of birth by submitting fabricated documents to Nadra authorities.
Records available with Online, which include old NIC’s, matriculation certificate, higher secondary certificate, graduation and masters degrees certificates issued by Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Multan, Bahauddin Zakariya University Multan, show that the actual date of birth of Additional Director Subuh Sadiq Pervaiz is April 4, 1953, and he would reach his retirement age on April 4, 2013.
His date of birth was mentioned in seniority list of 2003 and also in the seniority list of 2010, but he never contested it. However, Pervaiz woke up out of the blue to realize that he was actually born in 1954 and not in 1953 and got his date of birth changed to April 4, 1954, in his new NIC issued by Nadra in an apparent bid to extend his service period for an year.
It is to be recorded that Nadra makes changes in date of birth on the basis of matriculation certificate, which means Pervaiz had submitted a fabricated Matriculation certificate or a wrong affidavit to Nadra to get his date of birth changed.
Hailing from Multan, and a friend of former prime minister Yousuf Raza Gilani, Pervaiz got out of turn promotion in grade 19 by superseding two dozen senior officers in 2012.
Gilani in his book “Chah Yousaf Se Sada” has mentioned Pervaiz as a close friend on page 39.
Subah Sadiq practically took part in the election campaign of Abdul Qadir Gilani in by elections of 2012, a clear violation of service rules.
As per record, he was at the bottom of 2010 seniority list, however, on the directives of former premier; a special seniority list was prepared just to promote Pervaiz to grade 19 in clear violation of the government service rules.
According to the federal and provincial government service rules, a government servant can get his date of birth corrected within two years of joining the service, and thereafter such option is not open him.
A Supreme Court bench comprising Justice Nasir Aslam Zahid, Justice Munawar Ahmad Mirza and Justice Abdur Rehman Khan declared in 1998 in a case filed by a government servant Haq Nawaz Kiani against the Punjab government declared that “On thorough scrutiny, we have noticed that the service rules regarding correction of age within two years from entry into service are apparently sound and logical. A government servant normally cannot be permitted to rise from deep slumber and dramatically announce change in the date of birth, when about to retire.”
