Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Qamar Zaman Kaira on Sunday stressed the need for collective efforts to win the war on terrorism.
He said it was not the responsibility of a single group, party or faction to root out terrorism from the country.
He said that the war on terror could only be won with the combined efforts of the people. Talking to Pakistan Television, he said, “We have to follow the mission of martyred Bashir Bilour, a senior minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, if we want to make progress.”
He appealed to the people to expose the elements among their ranks who were pro-Taliban.
He prayed to Allah Almighty to rest the departed soul in eternal peace and to grant courage to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss.
He said that late Bashir Bilour was a seasoned politician who was the symbol of courage and the man of great character.
