Tahirul Qadri a foreign agent: TTP spokesman

Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) central spokesman Ihsanullah Ihsan on Saturday said Tehrik Minhajul Quran chief Tahirul Qadri was a foreign agent working on a foreign agenda and was not a patriot.
The TTP spokesman said Qadri is sponsoring business commercials aired by various local TV channels in which he is staging a drama of saving the Pakistani state. Ihsan said the people of Pakistan had recognised Qadri as a payroll agent of powers who were working to destroy this state.
“Qadri’s arrival to Pakistan is upon the orders of his foreign masters and for accomplishment of their agenda,” the TTP statement titled “Arrival of a Foreign Actor in Pakistan” said. The statement further said if Qadri was a true patriot he would never have left Pakistan and would have preferred to stay here to serve the Muslim nation. On Thursday, Qadri arrived in Lahore after touring the world for four months to address a public reception being held in his honour at Minare Pakistan, Lahore on December 23 (today).
Sources said Qadri would address around five million people in connection with his slogan, “Save the state, not politics”. The address, in which he would announce a national reform agenda to put the country back on track, would be telecasted live around the world by Minhaj TV as well as leading broadcast channels of Pakistan.
The TTP statement further said the decision to send the Pakistan cricket team to India was a disgusting gesture, adding that India had to pay for the blood of “our hero”, Ajmal Qasab. The statement blamed the government of Pakistan for sending the cricket team to India on America’s order and in fear of India.
