Shifa Medical College holds 10th convocation

Shifa College of Medicine (SCM), affiliated with Bahria University Islamabad, held its 10th convocation on Saturday at the Bahria University Auditorium in which 94 MBBS students were awarded degrees.
Dr Rishtya Meena Kakar secured first position, Dr Hassan Zafar Baig second and the third position went to Dr Saleha Rizwan.
The College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan (CPSP) President Dr Zafarullah Chaudhry, who was also the chief guest at the convocation, conferred degrees upon the students.
The event was attended by Bahria University Islamabad Rector Admiral (r) Ehsan Saeed, SCM Principal Gen (r) Dr Muhammad Shoaib, Shifa International Hospital Chief Executive Officer Dr Manzoor H Qazi, faculty members, graduating students and their parents.
Dr Zafarullah Chaudhry, while addressing the convocation, urged the students to always remember the oath they had taken and must try their best to inculcate it in their professional lives, and become role models for their counterparts.
Admiral (r) Ehsan Saeed said the SCM had established its reputation as an outstanding medical college of the country in a very short span of time.
“We are proud that SMC is affiliated with Bahria University,” he said.
