The Planning Commission of Pakistan has so far released Rs 101.1 billion under its Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP), despite having been allocated Rs 233 billion for the on going financial year, 2012-13.
Of the total sum, Rs 55.7 billion was released for infrastructure development projects, whereas Rs 42.3 billion was released for social sector projects.
Similarly, Rs 1.1 billion was released for other projects, whereas Rs 2 billion was released for the Earthquake Reconstruction and Rehabilitation Authority (ERRA).
