Funeral prayers of Bilour’s secretary offered

Funeral prayers of ANP leader Bashir Ahmed Bilour’s personal secretary Haji Noor Mohammad Khan were offered Sunday in Peshawar.
Thousands of people attended the funeral prayer of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa official who was killed among nine others, including Senior Minister Bashir Bilour, in Saturday’s suicide blast.
County-wide mourning has been announced by the government against assassination of Awami National Party leader whose funeral would are being held at 2:00 p.m.
On Saturday, Taliban militants bombed a political rally in Peshawar, killing nine people including the provincial minister.
Bilour died of his wounds at Lady Reading Hospital. Some 30 people were injured.
Taliban spokesman Ihsanullah Ihsan claimed responsibility for the attack and said the insurgency would continue to target the ANP, the largest political party in the northerly Khyber Pakhtunkwa province.
Bilour’s funeral prayer would be offered at Colonel Sher Khan Shaheed stadium here on 2:00 pm today.
The body of deceased leader has been shifted to the home of his elder brother Haji Ghulam Ahmad Bilour. He would be buried in Syed Hasan Badshah Beri Bagh graveyard.
Earlier today, Bashir Bilour’s eldest son Haroon Bilour reached Peshawar from Dubai to attend his father’s funeral.
