Two girls, aged 11 and 15, were forcibly married at Kotla Ahmed, in what appears to be a manifestation of the age-old custom of ‘vani’. Vani is a tribal custom in which girls are forced to marry members of conflicting tribes in settlement of feuds. According to police, Ghulam Mustafa married a girl and in return; two male relatives of his wife were married to the said girls. The bridegrooms are said to be 16 and 17-year-old boys. So far no action has been taken against the incident.
