The Punjab Assembly on Friday witnessed a slow day as only six members were present at the session while 40 (11 percent of the total membership) leaders showed up towards the end of the sitting. The chief minister, leader of the opposition, deputy speaker and several parliamentary leaders remained absent from the proceedings. At least 20 points of order in the 23 minutes of the sitting were recorded and most agendas remained unaddressed due to the absence of legislators.
