Robberies galore!

In a continuing saga of endless crimes, a woman was robbed on Friday by two men riding a motorbike in the area of Misri Shah.
According to details, the men snatched two tolas of gold and a mobile phone from the woman and escaped from the scene.
Another citizen named Zeeshan Ahmed was deprived of his motorbike when two robbers snatched the vehicle on gunpoint from Sarwar Road.
Another robbery took place in A-One Cloth at Ghalib Market. According to details, the robbers broke into the shop and took cloth worth Rs 2.2 million and other valuables.
Three robbers entered in a shop as customers in Islamia Park area and shot and injured the owner Ishtiaq when he resisted them. However, residents of the area caught the robbers identified as Bilal, Adnan and Ghulam Ali before they could flee and handed them over to the police.
Separately, Mustafa Town Police arrested a suspected robbery gang involved in various crimes across the city. The police recovered Rs 100,000, weapons, motorbikes and other valuables from their possession.
Separately, a passenger bus coming from Raiwind to Lahore caught fire due to short-circuiting near Batti Chowk. Traffic wardens arrived at the scene and helped the passengers exit the bus. There were no injuries.
