A PML-N MPA, elected on women’s reserved seats from Karak, Mehr Sultana Khattak, along with dozens of party workers decided to join the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP). Mehr formally announced joining the PPP during a public meeting in the presence of provincial PPP chief Anwar Saifullah Khan in Takht-e-Nusrati on Friday. On Thursday, Mehr told reporters that she had rendered a lot of sacrifices for the cause of the party when its leadership was abroad in exile. She claimed that as an MPA she served the entire Khattak tribe selflessly and gave recognition to the party at the district level.
