On recommendations of the Finance Ministry, the Petroleum Ministry on Friday approved a downward shift in the prices of petroleum products. The new prices will be applicable from December 22. According to reports, the prices of petrol and kerosene oil will be decreased, while the prices of diesel and light diesel will be increased. The new per litre price of petrol will be Rs 101.42 after a Rs 1.23 decrease, while the new price of kerosene oil will be Rs 98.81 after a 22 paisa decrease. The new price of diesel will be Rs 110.13 per litre, while the price of light diesel ol has also been increased by 45 paisa.
