Unidentified armed men reportedly killed 11 Pakistani and Afghan nationals in Gwadar on Friday. Although officials concerned confirmed the incident, they did not give any details regarding the identity of the deceased. Reports started pouring in from Gwadar since Friday afternoon, saying a few Pakistani and Afghan nationals had been killed while they waiting for their busses that would have taken them to Iran via “unconventional routes”. The officials said according to preliminary reports, 11 men, who had been brought to this remote area close to the Iranian border by human smugglers, wanted to cross into Iran illegally and from there they would have been eventually taken to Turkey and Greece. The officials added that the deceased were sitting in a group waiting for their transports when the assailants opened indiscriminate fire on them, killing 11.
