Punjab Inspector General of Police Habibur Rehman on Thursday said police would spare no efforts for the arrest of former Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority chief Tauqir Sadiq.
The IG said he was not afraid of taking investigations all the way to the Governor’s House.
Speaking to reporters after a meeting of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) officials, he said the Interior Ministry would be requested to form a joint committee comprising representatives of investigation agencies to uncover who had benefited from Tauqir Sadiq’s embezzlement case.
He said Sadiq was a national criminal whose property would be confiscated, adding that his relatives would also be investigated in the probe.
