Will even raid Governor’s House to catch Sadiq: IG

LAHORE – Punjab Inspector General of Police Habib-ur-Rehman on Thursday said that the police would spare no efforts for the arrest of former Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority chief Tauqir Sadiq, adding that he was not afraid of taking investigations all the way to Governor House.

Speaking to journalists after a meeting of National Accountability Bureau (NAB) officials, he said that the Interior Ministry would be requested to constitute a joint committee comprising representatives of investigation agencies to uncover who had benefited from Tauqir Sadiq’s embezzlement case.

He further said that Tauqir Sadiq was a national criminal whose property would be confiscated, adding that his relatives would also be investigated in the probe.
