Powerful institutions exempted from accountability: PAC

Chairman Nadeem Afzal Gondal has shown dissatisfaction over the audit of the Supreme Court and stated that audit of weak institutions is made while powerful ones are exempted from accountability.
Public Accounts Committee (PAC) also sought details of the meetings of Supreme Court’s Department Accounts Committee (DAC) and the figures presented by auditors.
The meeting of Public Accounts Committee was held on Wednesday in the Parliament House in the chairmanship of Nadeem Afzal Gondal.
Chairman PAC Nadeem Afzal Gondal asked Auditor General of Pakistan Akhtar Buland Rana how he gave clean chit to the Supreme Court.
At this, Rana said that the audit of Supreme Court is made each year, and no difficulty is faced during the process. He further said that no influence is accepted from any one during the audit, and nobody is given concession in this regard.
Auditor General Akhtar Buland Rana stated that the audit-office is present only in the Supreme Court and no such office is operating in any other institution.

  1. PAC should keep silence and should not try to bring defame the NA. It is the only Supreme Court of Pakistan which is reliable. Why PAC is not raising the matter of Rs. 6000 million daily corruption. Why is PAC politicizing the SC issue. Why is PAC is not pointing the corrupt giant, ie, Zardari, Mulki khazany par bhari……

Public accounts committee is still unable to reveal the corruption against Gillani and his sons which was obvious to all who know them.SC doesn't work on public 's share but all MNA or MPA hold public money on the name of reforms in their areas.Majority even don't go to their constituency but make deals with local executives to distribute this public funds among all vultures.SC works on fixed amount granted by them through finance ministry so their audit can easly be made through all other official means.If they found like that they should bring it to public but as per state law SC is not answerable to Public committee.So this chun is trying to rise chun(moon) for his boss who is all time troubled by this SC.
