Qaumi Watan Party Chairman Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao on Wednesday lauded governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for visiting North Waziristan Agency, saying such initiative would help remove prevailing sense of deprivation among the people of the area.
In a statement issue here, he said this was his first ever visit since 2008 to any tribal agency which would boost the morale of tribesmen.
He said people of Fata had no contact with civilian leadership due to military operations.
He said the interaction with people of the agency would bring positive impacts in restoring peace to the region.
“The governor should also visit other agencies and interact with its people to address their problems,” he said and suggested him to bring them to mainstream politics.
He said people of tribal areas were facing numerous problems which need proper attention, adding that such positive steps would help in addressing them.
