Lal Masjid commission kicks off work

The Judicial Commission, formed by the Supreme Court to investigate Lal Masjid operation, has formally begun its work.
The Commission has asked all those interested to appear before it for providing any information about the incident or produce evidence, may contact Secretariat of the Commission.
The Secretariat of the Commission is functioning at the premises of the Federal Shariat Court, Constitution Avenue, Islamabad. Interested persons may get themselves registered at the desk specially established at the Commission’s Secretariat between 19-26 December 2012 during office hours i.e 8am to 3pm. They may provide all particulars including full name(s), parentage(s), address(permanent, temporary/official), CNIC No(s), contact No(s) and prospective nature of information to be provided.
Supreme Court (SC) had constituted a judicial commission to probe into the Lal Masjid operation on December 04.
One-member commission of senior judge of Federal Shariat Court, Justice Shehzad Shaikh will present its findings in 45 days.
Inspection team member of Islamabad High Court (IHC) Syed Muzafar Ali Shah has been nominated Secretary while Additional District and Session Judge Kamran Basharat as Additional Secretary of the commission.
The commission has been tasked with ascertaining the reasons which led to the operation along with the number of deaths which took place during the operation. It will also ascertain whether the dead bodies were handed over and compensation paid to the heirs.

  1. Courts stand with terrorists against the people of Pakistan.Why are the human rights of terrorists so dear to the courts and the human rights of pakistani Public, its army and security forces are over looked.
    The blood of Shaheeds of security forces cannot be put under the carpet.
