The Karachi police in their ongoing drive against criminals have arrested 59 accused during the past 24 hours. A police statement on Tuesday said that those arrested included 37 absconders. It said that there were three encounters of the police with the alleged criminals during the period and that four gangs of alleged criminals were eliminated. As many as 20 pistols and four mobile phones were recovered from the possession of the accused, the police statement added. Cases had been registered against all the nabbed accused.
