Punjab Governor Latif Khosa said on Monday said that no nation could make progress and face big challenges without education.
Addressing the 4th annual convocation of the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences at its main campus, he urged the universities in the Punjab to share their facilities and expertise in enhancing the innovative research and education at par with international standards.
He appreciated the role of UVAS in the field of education and research for not only producing qualified graduates to boost livestock sector but also to expand the horizon of its educational system by making linkages with other national and international universities, private sector and industries.
“I have been very impressed by the remarkable progress made by the UVAS in recent years for the promotion of education and research,” he said.
Talking to reporters, the governor said that education was a provincial subject after the 18th Amendment and urged the provinces to allocate more funds for education.
You know why everyone PPP and PMLN are saying education is vital, We will double the education budget because their mouth is watering on US AID for education in Punjab. Khapay , Khapay. Beleive me they have no interest in children's education. See how they are excited , their eyes are poping out and suddenly education becomes very important to them.I just want to say they are cruel. Their hearts are hard like stones and they don't care about poor people.
