A two-day national stakeholder conference on “Juvenile Justice System in Pakistan” will start from December 17 to evaluate the process of implementation of the laws, including Juvenile Justice System Ordinance 2000 and others. Advisor to Prime Minister on Human Rights Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar would be the chief guest while German Ambassador Dr Cyrill Nunn would be the guest of honour at the conference being jointly organized by Islamabad based Society for Human Rights and Prisoners (SHARP) and the Embassy of Germany. The participants of the conference would discuss and evaluate Juvenile Justice System Ordinance 2000 and would review the process of implementation of the law since 2000. The chief guest would address the conference and would particularly talk about the perspective of government initiatives on juvenile justice system.
