Peshawar operation accomplished: Five terrorists killed

All five terrorists and a policeman were killed during exchange of fire between law enforcement agencies and militants in Pawakai area of the city, military said on Sunday.
According to ISPR‚ during search operation after last night’s terror attack on Peshawar airport‚ exchange of fire took place between security forces and the terrorists in the area.
One police constable was also martyred. Five explosive devices were recovered from drainage near police check post on Abdara Road.
ISPR said, three terrorists were killed by police firing while two others who were also equipped with suicide jacket reportedly blew themselves the Bomb Disposal Unit has defused two more such jackets. Blasts at short interval are taking place in the said area.
Moreover, unconfirmed news reports said another place has been discovered where some terrorists are hiding. Land mines were also discovered from Abid Reh area of the city.
Unconfirmed news reports said three of the terrorists belong to Uzbekistan while one is Pakhtun who have taken refuge in a under construction house. They asked for some necessities from the owner of the house and warned him about telling police.
The militants were present in an under construction in house in the village.
The under construction house is located near former provincial minister Kashif Khan’s house at the distance of one kilometer from the Peshawar Airport.
Information Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mian Ifitkhar Hussain has said five militants had taken shelter in an under-construction house in Pawakai area near Bacha Khan Airport Peshawar.
He said due to tight security measures the militants could not escape.
