Islamabad police recover stolen items worth Rs 163.4 mln


Expediting efforts to trace theft cases, Islamabad Police recovered stolen items after resolving 576 cases successfully, a police spokesman said.
According to details, IGP Islamabad Bani Amin Khan directed heads of all police circles to accelerate efforts in tracing the theft as well as burglary cases and provide maximum relief to citizens by resolving their problems.
In compliance of these directions, heads of all police stations asked investigation officers of various cases to make renewed efforts. During the current year, a total of 576 theft and burglary cases were resolved and 1072 accused were arrested.
IGP Islamabad Bani Amin Khan and SSP Islamabad Yaseen Farooq have said that providing relief to citizens is the responsibility of police and every possible effort should be made to provide protection to the lives and property of citizens as well as resolving their complaints on immediate basis.
